Overview
The Distribution section is where you control how your product is exposed to the world—whether through internal search, exclusive private links, or global platforms like Google.
Visibility Controls
In the Publish tab, you define the core visibility of your product:
- Listed (
Visibility): When enabled, your product is “public.” It will appear in search results, category pages, and the main storefront. - Limited: This setting marks the product as “Exclusive.” A limited product is hidden from the general marketplace and resellers. It is typically used for private bookings or special deals intended only for customers who have a direct link.
Google “Things to do” (GTTD)
For products of type Experience (EXP), the system provides a specialized integration for Google “Things to do.” This allows your tours and activities to appear directly on Google Search and Google Maps.
The GTTD Readiness Score
Before you can enable the GTTD toggle, your product must meet Google’s strict data quality standards. The system calculates a percentage score and provides a checklist of missing items:
- Title: Google prefers titles around 50 characters. If the title is too short (<10) or too long (>55), your score decreases.
- Summary: Recommended length is approximately 30 words.
- Description: Google requires a substantial description, ideally between 100 and 500 words.
- Photos: While one photo is required, having 3 or more high-quality images provides a perfect score for this check.
- Location: The product must be linked to a valid Google Point of Interest (POI) with a Place ID.
- Prices & Inventory: You must have at least one active price plan for a store, valid PAX options, and a defined booking cutoff.
GTTD Metadata & Overrides
You can fine-tune how your listing appears on Google without changing your primary product data:
- Landing Page Link: By default, Google links to your default store’s product page. Use the Override Landing Page Link if you want to send Google traffic to a specific marketing page or a tracking URL.
- Operator Info: You can override the operator name and business location. This is crucial if your corporate name differs from the local brand name recognized by Google.
- Inventory Types:
- Reseller (Default): You are selling on behalf of an operator.
- Official Inventory: You are the primary source for this inventory.
- Operator Direct: You are the connectivity provider or the operator themselves.
- Fulfillment Types: Specify how the customer receives their ticket. Options include Mobile/QR Code (default), Print-at-home, or Pick up at Venue.
- Brand Name: If your business operates multiple brands, you can specify which one Google should display (defaults to the Operator name).
Partner Accounts
If your product involves third-party suppliers or secondary sellers, you can manage these relationships in the Partners tab.
- Roles: Assign partners as either a Supplier (providing the service) or a Seller (distributing the product).
- Internal Tracking: You can define an Internal Name and Internal Code for the partner. This information is never shown to customers; it is used only for your internal reporting and reconciliation.
- Validity Dates: Set a “From” and “To” date to control when a partner’s association with the product is active.
Best Practices for Distribution
Maximizing GTTD Ranking
Google’s algorithm prioritizes products with high readiness scores. To improve your ranking:
- Ensure your description is unique and not a direct copy of other sites.
- Use the Operator Google Business Location field to link your product directly to a verified Google Business Profile.
- Keep your pricing consistent between Spotinga and the landing page provided to Google; discrepancies can result in your listing being suspended by Google.
Managing Limited Products
If you are creating a “Secret” or “VIP” product, ensure Listed is OFF and Limited is ON. You can then share the store-specific URL with your clients manually.
